Fizziology was a social media business intelligence startup, launched in 2010 in Indianapolis, that primarily served Hollywood. By the 2018 merger with MarketCast, Fizziology had a revenue of around $8 million with approximately 30 full-time employees.

MarketCast acquired Fizziology in 2017, and Fizziology merged with MarketCast in 2018. I served as Director of Data Science from July 2012 to September 2020.

Some of my responsibilities and achievements while at Fizziology:

Hired as Fizziology’s 3rd employee: built consumer data science products, processes, and teams that worked with every Hollywood studio — leading to 10x revenue growth and a lucrative acquisition by MarketCast.

Established a culture of solid data integrity, robust hypothesis testing experiments, and best practices for data visualization & reporting.

Created benchmarks and KPI presentation products to offer strategic recommendations to our clients; built regression models & correlation confidence analyses to forecast sales & performance.

That KPI presentation is now the Hollywood standard; the product has generated >$5M in sales and provided clients tracking for more than 85% of all Hollywood movie releases since 2015.

Reformatted and preserved the integrity of 5+ years of data on >1,000 topics from >10 million consumers; established the largest analytical consumer opinion database for the entertainment industry.

Lead trendspotting and forecasting for media, finance, & digital commerce partners; identified future stars including Post Malone & Lorde, viral app Pokémon Go, and other trends of influence in fashion & technology.
